THIS IS SHANE THOMAS
Shane’s family lived in Ashland, KY when he was born on November 25, 1978 in Huntington, WV. His father’s job in the oil industry required that they relocate from time to time and Shane lived in WV, OK, and OH before his family returned to Ashland, KY.

Through Shane’s early years he performed at many local talent shows and fairs. He was also an active member in the church choir and participated in various school sports. As he grew older, Shane continued to participate in community activities. He teamed up with the D.A.R.E. program and played at many high schools around the state of Kentucky helping spread drug awareness to young teens. He also participated in several charity groups around the state promoting musical awareness and community service.

Shane has always shared a love for many different types of music, but it was during his high school years at Paul G. Blazer High when he realized his passion lay in country music. He realized the meaning of country music and the art of songwriting along with the truth that lies behind each song.

On the morning of June 13th 1995, at the age of 16, Shane’s life came to a screeching halt. He was a passenger in a vehicle along with his younger sister and other family members when they were suddenly struck from behind by another driver. The tragic accident claimed the life of his ten year old sister Courtney Margaret Thomas. He turned to country music to help him deal with the pain. The music struck Shane in such a way, he knew that that was what he was going to pursue as a career. He wanted to bring the healing power of the music to others who had dealt with similar tragedies.

After graduating from Paul G. Blazer High School, he attended Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, KY and graduated from Sullivan University with a degree in “Sales, Marketing, and Management.” He was employed as a salesman providing Personal Protection Equipment to Police, EMS, and Fire personnel.

In May of 2005, Shane Thomas received the call the he had always dreamed about. He was asked to perform in front of a sold out crowd at the Paramount Arts Center in his hometown of Ashland, Kentucky with country music star Craig Morgan. The show was a true hit and Shane was a hit with the crowd. Radio stations in the area began receiving calls about his music. Shane was immediately booked for another show on July 4th with headliner John Michael Montgomery. This pattern continued over the next few months as he was invited to perform shows with acts such as Little Big Town, Andy Griggs, and Aaron Tippin, Jeff Bates, etc.
In early 2006, just one year after his first major show, Shane felt that he was ready to actively begin pursuing his dream of becoming a country music artist. He knew that if he did not make the move now then he would never leave Kentucky. So, in May of 2006, Shane packed his bags, kissed his family goodbye, and headed for Tennessee.

Shane now performs regularly at locations around Nashville and tours nationally throughout the year. He is a regular on Travel Inc’s annual Country Music Cruise along with artists such as Danielle Peck and Ray Scott. Recently, Shane was invited as a guest of Toby Keith to attend the 2007 Fiesta Bowl.

Shane and his long time girlfriend, Jessica, along with their beloved Weimaraner, Deuce, recently purchased a home near Nashville.

Shane is a performer that brings the audience to the stage. He allows the energy to flow at such a high level that everyone feels like they are a part of the show. From dancing in the aisles to singing a ballad to a member of the audience, there is never a dull moment at Shane’s concert. Shane will tell anyone that “I love performing, and feeling the energy you get from the crowd when you walk on stage!”

Shane Thomas is just a good ole boy that likes to have a good time and give his fans the best show they have ever seen. When you ask Shane what drives him to put on such a great show, he replies “I do it for my sister Courtney Thomas who was and always will be in my heart, with all of my love, and a part of my show!”
